1. Registration is only recorded when the organizer has received a completed and signed exhibition agreement, or when acceptance has been received via email. The registration is binding and the exhibitor pays for the total stand rental and registration fee. The organizer has the right to cancel registrations without giving any reasons and without incurring any liability for compensation. Payments made with credit card will be charged an additional fee of NOK 150.
2. The organizer determines the location of the stand, but takes into account the exhibitor’s wishes.
3. Unless otherwise agreed, or another procedure is followed, the organizer’s receivables shall be paid as follows: Registration and stand rental will be invoiced approximately 8 weeks before the exhibition starts, and is due in full 10 days later, unless there is another written agreement . After this date, the organizer reserves the right to rent to other exhibitors.
4. a) Failure to meet the payment terms results in loss of the allocated stand area and outstanding amount will be sent to collection. In this case, the organizer has the right to dispose of the allocated stand area at the exhibitor’s expense.
b) If the exhibitor, despite paying the stand rental, is unable/unwilling to attend/fails to attend the exhibition, the stand will be transferred to the organizer on the opening day at 8:00 AM. This does not result in a refund of paid stand rental.
c) All invoices are subject to an administration fee of NOK 65. All orders below NOK 20,000 are subject to an environmental fee of NOK 69, all orders above NOK 20,000 are subject to an environmental fee of NOK 136.
5. Subletting of stand area is only permitted with a written approval from Compass Fairs AS.
6. a) The standard stand comes with side and back walls facing the neighbor and front supports. The stand may have 1-3 open sides depending on the stand’s location.
b) An open stand (island) is supplied without walls.
c) The outdoor stand is built entirely by the exhibitor. Furnishing and equipment for the stand is not included in the stand rental price.
7. Stands with two floors or stand structures that exceed the standard wall height of 2.5 meters must be approved in writing by the organizer in advance. Costs for raising walls against neighboring stands must be expected. The price per sqm for the second floor is 50% of the regular square meter price.
8. The organizer reserves the right to terminate registration or potentially reduce the registered area if the exhibition becomes fully booked at an early stage. Stand area is assigned to the extent possible in the different product groups.
9. The organizer has the right to change the date of the exhibition without the contracts being able to be canceled. Notification of the change of date must be sent to the exhibitors at least one calendar month before the original scheduled date.
10. Only registered products and services can be displayed at the exhibition. Exhibited products may not be removed from the stand during the exhibition period without the organizer’s written consent. The organizer has the right, without stating a reason, to remove exhibited products and services that do not fall within the main areas of the exhibition.
11. Posters and other materials may not be placed outside of the allocated stand area. Active sales, product samples and promotional materials may only be done from one’s own stand. It is also not allowed to conduct active sales in the walkways or to distribute promotional materials outside of the entrance to the exhibition hall. Violations will incur a fee of NOK 3,000.
12. a) Demonstrations, distribution of product samples, use of AV equipment, and other disruptive sounds or odors must be done without disruption to neighboring stands and surroundings. Any complaints should be directed to the organizer who has final authority.
b) It is not permitted to sell food and/or drinks from or on the stand without prior approval from the organizer. Preparation and distribution of taste samples must be approved by the organizer well in advance of the start of the exhibition.
13. a) It is prohibited to set up one’s own wifi networks in the exhibition arena. Wireless routers or access points that are set up will be confiscated without warning, as this degrades the existing wireless network for everyone else at the exhibition.
b) Balloons filled with helium gas are not allowed at the Housing Exhibition. Animals are not allowed in the exhibition halls.
14. Exhibitors who will sell goods or services during the exhibition must be registered in the VAT register. Foreign exhibitors who will sell products/services directly to consumers must also be registered with the County Tax Commissioner (Skatteetaten) through a VAT-liable Norwegian representative. Foreign exhibitors who are not covered by the EEA rules and who will sell items directly to consumers must, according to current rules, have a work permit.

16. The exhibitor is responsible for damages caused to the building, furnishings, equipment and persons. The instructions and guidelines of the authorities and organizer must be strictly followed.
17. Circumstances that the organizer does not have control over, such as interruptions in the delivery of electricity, water, heat, tele- and data lines, as well as situations that can be referred to as force majeure (fire, natural disasters, pandemics, etc.), do not give the exhibitor the right to claim compensation or a refund of stand rental.
18. The organizer provides security during assembly, exhibition, and disassembly, but the exhibitor is responsible for securing the stand during the exhibition hours.
19. a) The exhibitor is responsible for transportation, assembly, dismantling, storage, packing and removal of their own exhibit. All goods must be clearly marked with the exhibitor’s name, stand number and location.
b) The exhibitor is responsible to familiarize themselves with the fair’s rigging times. If the stand is not dismantled and the stand area is not cleared within the designated dismantling time, the organizer may, at the exhibitor’s expense and risk, take care of this.
20. The organizer is responsible for cleaning the indoor public aisles. Cleaning of the exhibitor’s own stand must be ordered separately and will be at the exhibitor’s expense.
21. If the weight of goods and equipment exceeds 400 kg/m2, this must be reported in advance. The exhibitor must cover all costs for necessary reinforcements. The organizer reserves the right to reject particularly heavy exhibition items.
22. Dismantling during the fair’s opening hours is not allowed. Violation incurs a fee of NOK 3,000.
23. All images / videos taken by the organizer during the fair period can be used in the organizer’s own marketing without consent.
24. The organizer has the right to cancel the fair, provided that there is a valid reason. A valid reason is, for example, that an unacceptably low number of exhibitors or that the organizer has reason to believe that the public attendance will be unacceptably low. Before cancellation, registered exhibitors should be given the opportunity to comment as far as possible. In case of cancellation, paid registration and stand rent will be refunded. Any other expenses or self-work the exhibitor has incurred in connection with the fair will not be refunded.
25. It is assumed that the exhibitor complies with Norwegian laws and obtains any necessary permits from the responsible authority in connection with the fair.
26. The organizer disclaims any responsibility for any errors in printed or electronic information materials about the fair.
1. The lessor shall deliver the ordered products to the lessee’s stand before the fair starts unless otherwise agreed. The rental period ends when the fair closes. The lessee will be charged for the entire rental period, regardless of whether the equipment was actually used during the entire period. The lessee may not sublet the products to a third party without the lessor’s written consent. The lessor may, if there is a valid reason, demand that the rental products be returned at an earlier time than mentioned above.
2. The lessee is responsible for the equipment while it is in his or her possession. Any damage or deficiencies that occur during the rental period will be charged to the lessee.
3. The lessor shall, at the agreed time and place, make the ordered rental products available to the lessee. The rental products shall be in good condition. The lessee loses his or her right to claim breach, whether it be a defect or delay, if he or she does not notify the lessor within a reasonable time after the lessee has discovered or should have discovered the defect. If the lessor does not fulfill its obligations under the agreement, the lessee may demand that the lessor correct the defect, as long as this does not involve unreasonable costs or inconvenience for the lessor. Even if the lessee does not request it, the lessor may, at its own expense, correct the defect or arrange for replacement if it does not cause significant inconvenience for the lessee. If repair or replacement is not possible or is not carried out within a reasonable time after the lessee has complained about the defect, the lessee may demand a proportional price reduction. In the event of a material breach, the lessee may terminate the rental agreement. However, the lessee may not terminate the rental agreement unless he or she notifies the lessor of the termination within a reasonable time after he or she has become aware of the breach.
4. The equipment must be left at the stand at the end of the fair. The equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was delivered, unless otherwise agreed in advance. If the equipment is not returned in good condition, the lessee will be charged for the cost of repairs, cleaning, or replacement of the equipment.
5. Our ordering pages are available well in advance of the event. We have set a deadline for each event. This is set so that we can provide you with good service and plan the delivery of equipment. Orders received after the deadline will result in extra work, new planning, and changes to transport/logistics and will therefore have a higher price (minimum 30% surcharge). Changes to the number of orders made before the deadline can be made without surcharge.
6. Within the ordering deadline (see item 5), the lessee has a cancellation deadline of 5 working days after the order has been placed. In the event of cancellation after the ordering deadline, the ordered equipment will be charged even if it is not used by the lessee. The lessor cannot guarantee delivery of goods ordered after the ordering deadline for each event. We also reserve the right to overbook.
7. All prices are exclusive of VAT. Prices in the webshop apply only to the individual event and to exhibitors participating in it. Some events may have additional shipping charges. This will then be specified under project details.
8. a) The customer agrees that Compass Fairs AS can charge for the services ordered by the customer. Administration and environmental fees will be added to the invoice. Please note that there will be an additional fee of NOK 150,- for credit card payments.
b) For larger deliveries (orders and productions) with a value of over NOK 50,000, we will require partial payment (on account invoicing) at the start.
c) The general payment terms for customers with a Norwegian organization number are 10 days. Other customers will be invoiced in advance.
9. Any dispute that arises between the Lessee and the Lessor shall be resolved through negotiations between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved in this manner, it shall be resolved by an arbitration tribunal or a court at the Lessor’s choice.
Advertisement orders will only be registered once the organizer, hereafter referred to as the publisher, has received a confirmation of the order and accepted it via email. The advertisement order is binding, and the exhibitor is responsible for the value of the advertisement. The publisher can reject the advertisement order without incurring liability if the content of the advertisement violates Norwegian law and our ethical rules. The publisher determines the placement of the advertisement, unless otherwise specified in the order confirmation, but takes into account the advertiser’s wishes.
Advertisement material must be delivered to the publisher according to the specified specifications in the order confirmation and within the specified material deadline. If the publisher is to produce the advertisement, a production supplement for graphic work will be added. All material to be produced by the publisher will be sent to the advertiser for approval before printing. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to approve the proof received within the specified deadline. The publisher is not responsible for received finished material or advertisement material that arrives after the material deadline.
The advertisement cost, including any production costs, will be invoiced about 11 days before the exhibition opens and becomes due in full 14 days later. Administration of NOK 65 will be added to the invoice. Advertisements ordered simultaneously with registration for the fair will be invoiced approximately 8 weeks before the fair starts, together with the fair organizer’s costs, and are due in full 10 days later. If the payment terms are not met, the outstanding amount will be sent to collection.
The publisher has the right to change the publication date of the fair newspaper, without the advertisement order being able to be cancelled. Notice of the change in the publication date shall be sent to the advertiser no later than one (1) calendar month before the original specified time.
The advertiser is required to be registered in the VAT register. Foreign advertisers who are to sell products/services directly to consumers must, for the same reason, be registered with the County Tax Collector (Skatteetaten) through a tax-paying Norwegian representative. Foreign advertisers who are not covered by EEA rules and who are to advertise directly to consumers must have a work permit according to applicable rules.
Circumstances that the publisher does not control, i.e., situations that can be described as force majeure, do not entitle the advertiser to demand compensation or a refund of the advertisement cost.
In the event of an error in the advertisement due to the publisher, the advertiser cannot claim compensation beyond the advertisement cost.
The publisher has the right not to cancel the publication of the fair newspaper provided there is a legitimate reason. Before cancellation, the advertiser shall be informed no later than 14 days before the fair begins, so that the advertiser can take other marketing measures. If canceled, any advertising costs paid will be refunded. Any costs incurred by the advertiser in connection with the advertisement will not be refunded.
The publisher disclaims all liability for any errors in printed or electronic information material about the fair.
The fire department requires a declaration from each exhibitor. Before the fair can open, an inspection will be conducted to ensure compliance with the regulations.
The use of styrofoam, straw, and paper for decoration purposes is prohibited.
You confirm that your stand will be built in accordance with the fire regulations. Furthermore, we confirm that our suppliers and decorators will comply with these provisions.
Fire Regulations
The following points in the Fire Department’s regulations apply to stands, pavilions, and decorations in the fairgrounds:
1. Combustible provisional furnishings, decorations, and carpets must be treated with a fire retardant.
2. Easily combustible and life-threatening items must not be stored or used in premises without special permits.
3. Self-igniting waste must only be stored in locations approved by the organizer.
4. Smoking and the use of fire in the premises are prohibited.
Fabrics affixed directly to walls must be treated with approved fire-resistant textile impregnations. The use of straw, styrofoam, paper, cardboard, and other easily combustible materials in decoration is not allowed without the organizer’s special permission.
If there is any doubt about the interpretation of these regulations, one must – to avoid the risk of the fire department demanding removal – inquire about the issue by directly contacting the organizer.
Gasoline
It is not allowed to store gasoline in the exhibition area. Gasoline-powered cars must have either a full or empty tank. Exhibitors must inform the organizer separately about the placement of cars, motorcycles, etc. at the stand.
Gas/gas cylinders
It is not allowed to store/use propane gas/containers or other combustible gases in the exhibition area during the exhibition period. If you wish to use/sell gas, you must contact the hall’s safety chief for approval.
Sprinkler system
It is not allowed to attach or hang any equipment in the sprinkler system.
Emergency exits
It is not allowed to block emergency exits.
Escape routes
It is not allowed to block escape routes. Posters and similar items that may obstruct the view of emergency exit signs or may fall in case of fire are not allowed in escape routes.
Fire stations
Fire stations should be easily accessible and visible. It is not allowed to cover or block these stations. Fire stations can be fire hoses, fire extinguishers, or fire alarms.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in the exhibition halls. During the setup and exhibition periods, the fire load in the exhibition halls is high, and the use of fire in any form is prohibited.
Work with tools that generate heat
The work must not begin until written permission is given by the organizer. Welding sparks can ignite a fire from a distance of 10 meters, and even cold sparks can have a temperature of over 500 degrees Celsius.
